After a lifetime of struggling with anxiety, I finally decided to give meditation a try. I had previously avoided it because I figured that my life was mundane enough and I didn't understand how sitting in silence could make it any better. Fed up with the chronic inner turmoil, one day I decided that I was going to exhaust every effort to overcome my anxiety, so I finally tried about 5 minutes of meditation. After those few short minutes, I experienced not only a peace that surpassed all understanding, but for the very first time a sense of peace that wasn't contingent on external circumstances going my way. After a while of doing it sporadically, I finally decided that I needed to make this a daily morning discipline to get the results I wanted. Within a couple of weeks, I was experiencing reduced stress, a willingness to forgive past hurts, astounding resilience, greater emotional intelligence, an increased capacity to enjoy the simple things in life, effortlessly being able to break bad habits and inner joy. I could not believe how sitting in silence and the mindfulness that subsequently followed was undoing so much unnecessary suffering I endured for years. I decided that I wanted to revamp my business and use my platform to increase awareness of meditation and mindfulness to help people free themselves from suffering and finally attain the inner peace and happiness within that everyone talks about, but no one actually SHOWS you how to attain successfully.
